This song, ‘Aku yang dulu bukanlah yang sekarang’, is sung by Tegar Septian, a little singing beggar from Subang, West Java, Indonesia. It is composed and written by Tegar himself. Tegar Septian is coming from a poor family. To defrayed his family, Tegar often singing beggar on the edges of road. Until one day, there is one guy, Alfas Hermanyah, who joins him in the XL competition.

His song which is titled ‘Aku yang dulu bukanlah yang sekarang’, tells about his life story and his dream in the future. Tegar mention in his song that now his life is no longer difficult as before. It shows in the lyrics below:

In the lyrics, Tegar says that his life now is changed. His dream to be a rich person now is come true. He feels happy because he can defray his family, and help his parents. Since this song is famous, he can duet with many popular singers such as Noah, Gamma 1, Setia, etc.

According to me, this song has lack and leftover. The lack is, the song has the rhythm that is often repeated by Tegar, I think it might make people bored to hear it straight away. On the other hand, this song also has leftover. It can touch people’s heart that hear it, motivate people to make their dreams come true, and always try hard. I recommended this song to all of Indonesian people. You should hear this song, because you will feel how pain the life is, and understand what the life is means exactly.

My Experience in Writing 2

This semester, I study writing two with these two lecturers that is Mrs. LeniMarlina and Mr. Muhammad Ansyar. This semester I learned about making an essay: the narrative essay, discussion essay and review essay. All of them need extra hard working. When I studied writing two in this semester, there are several experiences that I have with Mrs. LeniMarlina. Now, I will tell about my experience in writing two with one of my lectures, Mrs. LeniMarlina or well known as Mrs. Lina.

When I learned writing two, I get a lot of useful and exciting experienceand it also makes me sad, upset and uncomfortable. Rewarding and interesting experience was when Mrs. Lina gives the task to create an essay like narrative essay, discussion essay and review essay. After making an essay Mrs. Lina asked us to copy essays that we have done and give it to friends to re-examine this task. It is a very interesting way that can help me to write an essay better. Furthermore, I also can study honest, responsibility and confident in doing the tasks. I should not copy and paste from other friends. I also amcareful, concentrations, and focus in doing something, learn from the mistakes that make us more enthusiasm in writing.

I also feel the experiences that makes me sad, upset and uncomfortable are when I study every Saturday,three classes that studied that Mrs. Lina, k1, K2 and nk2, were studying in a room called “ld1”. We should study in a very small class with more than many students in that class. It must be hot and crowded. My experience was about the assignments. Mrs. Lina gave us o lot of assignments this semester. Started from free writing consist of experience in studying writing one last semester. Furthermore a groups assignment that have presented in make-up class.

I am very sad, because I do not have laptop to do the assignment that Mrs. Lina ordered us, so that it makes me difficult. I also do not have enough money to print my assignments, to copy it, and make a blog to publish my assignments. Therefore, I often lend money from my friends in my boarding house. Furthermore, in making assignments, I need long time to make it. It often makes me confused about what will I write.

In addition, I will explain about my best writing project in writing two is narrative text; the title is “Lebaran Day”. I choose it because this story based on my experience. In first story, I write based on imagination and fiction that change events that happens in story that I make, but still based on my experience. Meanwhile, in second story I write based in fact, but in this story I removed a character stepped on cat’s tail in a lebaran day. In second story, the main character’s motorcycle got accident and crashed a big stone. I write this story because I want to remind the unforgettable event in that time. And I think it is easy for me to write the story based on my experience rather than fiction, and I can explain it more detail.

Finally, I have many experiences that I felt in writing two, I can learn one important thing, which we must try to do our best to reach the best thing, should not give up, be able to be better, and always be patient to do everything that we want. For Mrs. Lina, thank you very much to all of the support to us especially me. I hope that we will get success.

            Based on the book by Roald Dahl, this movie tells abaut Charlie bucket is a kid who comes from poor family. Charlie lives with his parents and four of grandparents.  Just as the children age, Charlie really like chocolate, but father and Mather cannot give him. He was unaware that his life would be changed in the near future. Meanwhile, there is a famous chocolate factory that is built by Wily Wonka. The chocolate factory is closed because in the past, some of Willy’ workers are treason and steal his secret his recipe to other company.

One day, Willy Wonka puts five tickets in his chocolate’s product for five lucky children. The golden tickets are sent around the world and soon four winners are announced. Charlie is one of the lucky children. With his grandpa, Joe, Charlie comes to the chocolate factory to learn about chocolate. In fact, Willy Wonka has a special plan to a child that do not annoy him in the factory.

In this movie,the language is easy to understand until spectator easier to understand, and the song in this movie can make spectator amused. The acting of the actors also charming and they can act the characters very well. On the other hand, I think that the movie is more inclined to children, and the story is not really suitable with adults.

From the character Charlie; we can learn his patience and loyalty at his family. He prefers his family rather than a famous chocolate factory, even than everything around this world. He also does not be a naughty and selfish kid as many other kids in the world.

Prohibition of Smoking in Public Place

Smoking is a habit for people in the world, especially for man or boy. However, woman sometimes can also smoke. Smoking has been a general habit in their life. Smoking is one of the most deadly things a person can do to themselves and to others. This essay will talk about pro and contra of prohibition of smoking in public place.

Smoking can bring some advantages for smokers. First, it can remove stress, because the cigarette contains of substances that can make smokers feel comfortable. The second, smoking can give spirit for smokers, whenever they have any problems, and they will get better if they smoke. In contrast, many people smoke in public places. They do not know that it can bring many disadvantages for people around them.

First of all, if smokers are smoking in public place, it can make air pollution. If the air is dirty, then it will cause many diseases for passive smokers, such as lung cancer, cough, and asphyxia. Smoking in public places also can bring contamination of environment. For example, smokers sometimes will throw their cigarette arbitrariness, so that it will make the environment become dirty.

In addition, Governor of DKI Jakarta in year 2005 settled a new policy about forbid of smoking in public place. The law said: “The regulations governing non-smoking areas, including goals and objectives, leadership and care taker, prohibited areas for smoking, a special place / area for smoking, public participation, coaching and supervision, and sanctions provided for violations if smoking in public places.” mentioned in this chapter that are included in the "no smoking area" is: public places, workplace, learning place, health centers, arena of children's activities, places of worship, public transport.

In summary, smoking in public places can bring many disadvantages, such as diseases and contamination of environment. I agree with the prohibition of smoking in public place, because it can cause fatal problem for people. The smoke of cigarette will go fast into their body, and will cause many diseases.

Writing 2

Last semester, before I ready studied writing 1,I think writing is easy but actually writing is difficult with the idea and how to write it.when I studied writing 1 ,I did not understand about the material so that it makes me confused in writing. Maybe I don’t have little vocabulary and according to me how the lecturer explain not make me to more understand yet. In writing or make and experience a few examples in my material takes along time to make it. So that sometimes I was scared,nervous and does not have the courage to ask the lecturer about something I do not understand the material.

I do not have a step or strategy to learn the right so that in making an essay,I first create a new Indonesian language I change it to English  Even today I am also so,its hard for me to change it,so that was my experience last semester.

In writing 2, I hope I can study writing very well this semester. I  wanted  to master the material provided by the lecturer and practice in making an essay, understand fast and can directly written in English and not like last semester. I really hope this semester I can also get the best value and satisfying for me.this semester I do not want absent or sick, its my hope.

My other hope her, I really wanted to add my knowledge by studying to college.studying alone or with friends because I really wanted to be a person who is able to speak English well. It was my hope in writing 2 this study.

Lebaran Day

That morning was the first of lebaran day. Clara’s family woke up earlier than usual because they wanted to celebrate lebaran day together. All of family members had a chance to gather in that special day. They were mother, father, Clara, Claudiya, Dika and Adit. They looked happy, since it had been two years they did not celebrate lebaran day together.

Arround 6:00 A.M. All of family’s members had taken bath. They were about going to go to mosque, but before that, they gathered in the living room to forgive each other. When they were in the living room, Adit and Dika talked and showed their new things. Both of them wore new clothes, new hats, and new shoes.

Idul fitri pray began at 8:00 A.M, and around 7:30 A.M. Mother, father, Clara, Claudia, Dika, and Adit went to the mosque by riding motorcycles. We used 3 motorcycles, and around 7:45 A.M, we arrived in mosque. The mosque named Jami’ mosque, and every year, Clara’s family always do pray in that mosque. At 8:00 A.M, the pray begin.

The pray finished at 8:45 A.M, Clara’s family was ready to go home, but on the road, there was a problem. The motorcycle that was used by Clara got accident, it crashed a big stone. Clara and Claudiya who were in that motorcycle fell down, and both of them got injured. Two other motorcycles that were used by Clara’s family immediately stopped. Clara’s parents soon helped their daughters, while Adit and Dika helped putting the motorcycle on the road side.

After that, Clara and Claudiya were brought to the hospital which was fortunately not far from the place in which the accident happened. And now, their wound had been bandaged. All of family’s members thanked to the god, because the wound was not serious. Now, they went home to eat together. So, lebaran this year will be unforgettable memory forever.

            I write this story based on my experience, but I change a problem and I develop it.
